Survivor Contestants Who Bared it All for Playboy
77While in search of photos for the Top 10 Sexiest Women of Survivor, I was shocked to find out that many of the Survivor women had also posed for Playboy. What are these people doing, I wondered, ripping off their clothes before they've gotten off the plane for home? But the reality is, fans of the show seem to be less interested in "where they are now" than in "what's under the buff."
With that being said, here's a roundup of all the Survivors who have graced the pages of Playboy.
Ami Cusack
Ami Cusack did two rounds of Survivor, seasons Vanuatu and Micronesia, and one for Playboy in 1996. In her bio for Survivor: Vanuatu, Cusack was open about the fact that she was dating a woman.
In 2008 Cusack made out with rock-and-roll bad girl Flicka Smith on camera for a video project by Paul Heyman.
Jerri Manthey
Jerri "Man-Eater" Manthey, the super-villain from Survivor: The Australian Outback, was the first survivor contestant to bare it all for Playboy. Appearing on the September 2001 cover, in addition to a nine page spread, Manthey said, "it was an artistic statement."
Manthey later returned to the show for Survivor: All Stars and Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains. While most of her acting career has been on the television reality shows Survivor, The Surreal Life, and Joe Shmoe, she has also appeared on The Young and the Restless, and in a few lower-budget movies.
Jenna Morasca and Heidi Strobel
Jenna Morasca and Heidi Strobel attracted the attention of Playboy when they stripped down in Survivor: Amazon to win peanut butter and chocolate at a competition. The two agreed to be in Playboy, and did the shoot together.
Post Survivor, Morasca has been a bikini-model, a host of the show Survivor Live, a wrestler for TNA Wrestling, and a spokesperson for Peta.
Heidi Strobel is married to Philly's starting pitcher Cole Hamel. On the photo shoot, she stated: "Playboy is something that was an amazing opportunity in my life; I was younger! It was a once-in-a-lifetime kind of deal."
Sarah Jones
Sarah Jones competed on Survivor: Marquesas, and was eliminated relatively early on in the season. She "aligned" early on with Boston Rob Mariano, (if you consider cuddling and flirting an alignment) who went on to become a three-time player and one-time winner.
Jones was born in Alaska, and has visited every American state. And yes, she also posed for Playboy.
Christa Hastie
Christa who? Apparently she was on Survivor: Pearl Islands. Blamed for stealing Rupert's fish and voted off early. Playboy seemed to take a liking to her, even if her tribemates didn't.
Ashley Massaro
WWE wrestler Ashley Massaro has posed three times for Playboy. The first two were before her career as a pro wrestler got started, in the third she was given the April 2007 cover.
Massaro competed on Survivor: China, where she was the second contestant voted out.

I've often wondered if the show requires contestants to wear those skimpy bikinis that so often morph into blurry spots on the screen. For some of them, Playboy probably isn't much of a stretch.
This was interesting information. Hahah. Thanks.
Unusual topic! Never really considered it, but I guess once they get a taste of fame, it is hard to let go of it. Plus, I'm sure they were well rewarded for a little extra effort! Good gig if you have the bod and don't care if everyone knows what it is like under those clothes.
It used to be that people had to 'do something' to become famous.
Invent penicillin or a better light bulb.
These people make me want to puke. And the people that follow these asinine antics, make me wonder where their brains are?
Or am I just a cynic?
Well written expose' hub well done Anaya.
Your last line is very telling because you would fit nicely I'm sure in Playboy.
and if I may say so myself, very fine and classy.
I know you would not, because you have too much class, and you would put them others to shame.I seen your blog and I was suprised to see what a beautiful woman looks like in the kitchen.

I guess I had my head buried in the sand of some island, but I hadn't really thought about this part-time career choice for ex-Survivors. Obviously, I haven't read a Playboy in a very long while :-( I should start again as I love Survivor.
